JTC, SKF submit memorandum to President, Prime Minister

JAMMU, July 25: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) has demanded permanent rehabilitation of displaced Kashmiri Pandits in Valley who are leading the 29th year in exile in their own country now.
In its separate memorandums submitted to President of India, Ram Nath Kovind , Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Chairman Human Rights Commission, New Delhi the president of JTC and Nove Soan Kashmir Front Shadi Lal Pandita demanded that safe and secure places be identified in Valley for the rehabilitation of displaced Pandits.
In these memorandums he reiterated his earlier demand of carving out three townships in near Srinagar City in the Valley for the rehabilitation of the displaced Hindus with honour and dignity by extending all constitutional rights to them.
The memorandum demanded due representation to the community in State Legislature by reserving three seats in Assembly for the community and one seat in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha each. Rejecting the settlement of Pandits in old localities in Valley at scattered places, the memorandum made it clear that the situation is not conducive for the same as the majority community has rejected the pluralism in toto by forcing out Hindu minorities from the Valley.
The memorandum further demanded compensation for damaged properties, removal of encroachments from religious places and private property and land of Pandits, release of balance ex-gratia relief, grant of scholarship to migrant school going children belonging to poor families, on spot recruitment of migrants in Police Department, sanctioning of 1000 class fourth posts form migrant youth, enhancement of cash relief, construction of two room sets for left out families, issuance of RBA  certificates to migrants belonging to RBA families, providing of proper facilities at Jagti Hospital, transport facilities to Jagti township, construction of drainage system in the township and improvement of water supply in the township by constructing a viable water supply scheme.
