JAMMU, Feb 16: The Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) continued its protest sit-in for 138th day today at Lane 7 Jagti township near, here.
Addressing the protesters Shadi Lal Pandita, president, JTC and SKF said that the Government does not want to resettle Kashmiri Pandits in Valley as it has failed to formulate a concrete policy in this regard. He said it is unfortunate the KPs having a rich cultural history of over 5000 years are leading an exiled life for last over 31 years but the successive Governments in Delhi and J&K never bothered to settle them back in Valley-their motherland.
He said that the Government of India should provide all facilities to the Kashmiri migrants till their resettlement in Valley. He accused both State and Central Governments of being silent spectators to their problems and demanded immediate settlement of long pending issues.
