JTC, SKF protest enters 122nd day

JAMMU, Jan 31: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) protest entered in 122nd day today.
A demonstration was held in Jagti township near Lane No 7 under the leadership of JTC and SKF, president, Shadi Lal Pandita in which all the leaders and members of the organization participated.
Addressing the protesters’ Pandita said the protest sit-in started on October 2, 2020 but till date the Government has not met out the demands which is unfortunate. He said the protest will continue till the demands are met. Accusing the Government of ignoring Kashmiri Pandits who have been living in exile for the last 31 years, he said it has not solved the problem of the community till date. Pandita demanded immediate settlement of demands which included increase in monthly cash relief of migrant relief holders, package of 20,000 jobs with 5000 posts of Class IV for those youth of the community who could not continue their education due to poverty, creation of three satellite townships in district Anantnag of South Kashmir, district Srinagar of Central Kashmir and district Baramulla of North Kashmir for settlement of Displaced Pandits, compensation to over aged youth, free ration to migrant pensioners, passage of Hindu Shrines and Temples Bill and on spot recruitment in Police Department and other belt forces for displaced youth.
