JAMMU, May 24: A protest was held by the Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) at Jagti township Nagrota Jammu under the leadership of its president, Shadi Lal Pandita.
Addressing the protestors, S L Pandita urged the Government to ensure security of the Kashmiri Pandits in Valley and demanded issue of package employees should be solved as soon as possible. “Pandita said we have been on protest sit-in for 571 days but instead of resolving the issues of Kashmiri Pandits who are forced to live in exile they are being ignored by the BJP Government.
He said “We are demanding enhancement of monthly cash relief of relief holders from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 per family. The members said that the State and Central Government is ignoring the relief holders and forcing to exiled community to hold protest sit-in.
