JTC, SKF hold protest at Jagti

JAMMU, July 8: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front J & K (SKF) held a protest against the Government for its failure in enhancing the monthly cash relief from Rs13,000 to Rs 25,000 immediately. Protest of JTC and SKF was held under the leadership of its president Shadi Lal Pandita in which various issues relating the Kashmiri Pandit community in general were highlighted.
Pandita lambasted the State as well as Central Government for its failure in mitigating the sufferings of the uprooted community. S L Pandita has said from last six years the community is regularly requesting the Central Government to enhance the monthly cash relief of migrants as it is impossible to feed the family on this meagre relief keeping in view the rising prices.
The present economical condition of migrant community at large is disturbing as such migrants are unable to cope with the routine problems and fulfil the basic requirements therefore Government is requested to immediately announce some special economic package for Kashmiri migrants and enhance the monthly relief from 13000 to 25000 immediately.
