JTC, SKF highlight problems of relief holders

JAMMU, July 3: A meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) J & K was held at Jagti Nagrota today under the leadership of its president Shadi Lal Pandita in which the difficulties of Kashmiri migrants especially relief holder’s were discussed .
Addressing the members Shadi Lal Pandita said that Kashmiri Pandit migrant relief holders are living a very difficult life as their monthly relief is very low. He said that the migrants have submitted many memorandums to Prime Minister and Home Minister about this and have also staged many protest in Jammu and Jagti Township Nagrota demanding enhancement of monthly cash relief from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 but Government has not increased the monthly cash relief till date which is a matter of concern for Kashmiri migrants. He urged the Government to enhance the monthly cash relief from 13,000 t0 25,000 immediately.
Pandita also appealed to the Relief Rehabilitation Commissioner Jammu that lot of difficulties are being faced by Jagti inmates in taking the dead bodies to cremation ground in Jagti for their last rites as there is a big nallah between Jagti Township and the cremation ground which needs to be bridged soon .
He also said there are no ambulance to take the dead bodies from Jagti township to cremation Gath and demanded three ambulances be allotted to the township.
