JTC, SKF continue protest on 141st day

JAMMU, Feb 19: The Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC ) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) continued its protest sit-in for 141st day today in support of its demands.
Addressing the protesters Shadi Lal Pandita president, JTC and SKF demanded hike in monthly cash assistance of relief holders, settlement of displaced Pandits in Kashmir Valley compensation to displaced farming community, orchardists, traders and those people whose houses and business establishments were set ablaze or which suffered a heavy losses due to rain and snow over the years or where damaged by anti social elements and reservation of five Assembly seats and three Parliamentary seats for the KPs.
Pandita accused both UT and Central Government of maintaining a stoic silence over the long pending demands of the community.
Raj Kumar Tickoo unit president of JTC, SKF demanded free ration for pensioners and class fourth employees.
