JTC, SKF continue protest in support of demands

JAMMU, Nov 1: On the 31th day of the protest, sit -in agitation of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) today a strong demonstration was held by JTC,SKF in support of their demands.
The protestors with play- cards in their hands were raising slogans in support of their demands and reiterated immediate enhancement of cash relief from Rs 13000 to Rs 25,000 per month besides one Government job to each displaced Pandit family.
The protestors took out a procession from Lane No 7 to Jagti Police Post also where they also held a demonstration.
Addressing the protestors, Shadi Lal Pandita president, JTC and SKF said that KPs have been forced to lead an exiled life for over last 30 years, but the Government failed to resettle the community in Kashmir Valley and this is a conspiracy against the community.
Pandita said the community has suffered a heavy loss as they are unable to cultivate their land and orchards and hence suffered a heavy loss over last three decades. He warned that the sit in agitation will continue till demands are settled.
He demanded that 20,000 Jobs be given to unemployed youth of community out of which 5,000 jobs should of class VI for those unemployed youth who could not send their children for higher education after matriculation due to poverty and exile.
Others who participated in protest included Raj Kumar Tickoo, Kashi Nath Bhat, Rakesh Ambardar, Shuban Raina, Ram Krishan Tickoo, S L Kar, Sunil Bhan, Sunil Koul, Sager Pandita, C L Koul, Charan Jeet Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Gowri Shanker,Gokal Nath Bhat, Jitander Raina, Mohan Krishan Tickoo, Vinod Moza, Kamal Pandita, Sanjay Raina, Ajay Kachroo, Bihari Lal Razdan, Ravinder Koul Sahib, Kiran Kumar Bhat, Ajay Tickoo, Babloo Ramesh, Kuldeep Raina,Vikey Hakoo, J L Bhat,, Javaid Ahmad, Gh Mohmad Khan, Rajinder Koul, Ram Krishan and Shuban Mattoo.
