JTC, SKF continue protest for 157th day

JAMMU, Mar 7: The Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC), Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) continued its protest sit-in for 157th day today under the leaderships of  Shadi Lal Pandita, president JTC , SKF and convener  of PCC Migrant Cell J&K.
Addressing the protesters, Pandita said that today we have been protesting for five months and six days while the State and Centre Government is ignoring the Kashmiri Pandits. Pandita urged the State and Centre Governments that the monthly cash assistance of relief holders should be increased from Rs13, 000 to Rs 25,000 and they should be resettled in Valley.
He said that a Government job should be given to those families which have no member as serving Government employee and in this regard 20,000 employment package should be announced in the police, BSF, CRPF and other forces.
Pandita also demanded free ration for pensioners in the community and community should be compensated for 31 years loss of property. The members also demanded reservation of six assembly seats and three Parliamentary seats for the community and settlement of the community in three townships in Valley.
