JTC, SKF continue protest dharna

JAMMU, July 5: The protest dharna launched by Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) entered 613th day at Jagti township.
Addressing the protesters, Shadi Lal Pandita, president JTC and SKF said that protestors are demanding enhancement of monthly cash relief from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 per family per month but the State and Central Government is ignoring the relief holders and forcing the exiled community to hold protest sit-in.
He said they are demanding 20,000 jobs for unemployed youth of the community compensation for property losses of 32 years, pending Ex-gratia relief of gutted houses, compensation for over aged youth, removal of Illegal occupation of land ,properties and religious places in Kashmir Valley.
He said besides, three townships should be set up in Anantnag, Srinagar and Baramulla to resettle Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir Valley. He also demanded political reservation of five Assembly seats and three Parliamentary seats to Kashmiri Pandits with minority status.
