JAMMU, Nov 3: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) in a meeting here today has demanded renovation of quarters at Jagti immediately.
The meeting, which was chaired by JTC and SKF president, Shadi Lal Pandita alleged that despite repeated assurances given to inmates of Jagti township, the authorities have failed to renovate quarters.
He said the leakages needed to be plugged immediately failing which the quarters will collapse any time. The meeting also demanded enhancement of cash relief in view of sky rocketing of prices of essential commodities.
It criticized Government for its failure in implementing the PM employees package in letter and spirit and demanded that remaining posts be advertised immediately.
Pandita also accused the Government of its failure in rehabilitation of displaced Pandits in Valley and reiterated the demand that the community be settled by carving out a separate township in Valley.
Pandita also demanded that Kashmiri Pandits be included in talks as no solution to the issue is possible without making the community a party to dialogue.
