LEH, Nov 17: Joint Director School Education Tashi Dolma inaugurated a kindergarten school known as “Ladakh Hills International School” at Skara Yokma Leh.
On the occasion Chief Education Officer Konchok Angmo and other invited guest were present.
Appreciating the management for coming up with a well furnished school for the kindergarten, Tashi Dolma emphasized for giving special preferences to weaker section student so that they also get an opportunity to learn with other students. She said that there are number of schools running in every nook and corner of the city so without going into competition with each other one should focus on giving good education rather than commercializing it. Appreciating the school management for having the idea to have a mediation Hall in the school, JD said that mediation is a need of hour as parent fails to spend quality time with their children. She also added that it is very challenging to teach the kindergarten therefore teachers should be dedicated and sincere towards their profession to mould the children into good citizen.
Former Moravian Mission School Principal E S Gergan, expressing his delight over opening a new school, said that this school will set a standard in education system in Ladakh. Sharing his 25 years of teaching experience, Gergan said that school plays a social responsibility and teaching should be based on justice, truthfulness and social ethics.
Earlier, presenting the welcome speech, School Principal Dechen Palzes said that this is the only school in Ladakh having centrally heating system where children will learn in comfort even during chilly winter. She informed that school has well furnished 25 rooms and toilet, mediation, dance room and prayers rooms. Sharing her teaching experience Palzes said that teaching is her passion and after teaching for 17 years at Moravian Mission School, her main purpose is to impart good morale education to the budding kids along with modern education. She assures the parents that their children are in the safe hand of dedicated staff where they will learn with fun.
