JAMMU, Sept 30: Jammu Province People Forum (JPPF) has flayed the coalition Government for selling forms among the youth on exorbitant rate of Rs 300 and Rs 400 per form.
Addressing a meeting, the President of the Forum, Pavittar Singh Bhardwaj said that the selling of the form on such a high rate is really cause of concern not only for the unemployed youth but indirectly to their parents, who have provided education to their wards at the cost of their livelihood.
Bhardwaj appealed to the Chief Minister to consider the plight of the unemployed youth, who fill forms various times involving thousands of rupees to get selected for the job on the bleak chance of selection.
He expressed his dismay over the way the Government is tackling unemployment problem amongst the youth whether educated or uneducated as all are facing neglect at every level.
“It is known to one and all that the J&K Subordinate Selection Board including the Departmental Selection Committees of the State Government are earning crores of rupees against the sale of forms which is quite inhumane in view of the fact that against 10000 forms the selection for appointment goes to a few lucky persons and others continue to fill forms until they get over-aged”, he added.
He appealed to the Chief Minister to stop the practice of earning revenue from poor unemployed youth and their parents and devise ways and means to provide them financial assistance for their survival.
Bhardwaj also appealed to the Chief Minister to give a sincere thinking to the problem being faced by unemployed youth and sale the form on minimum charge of Rs 10 to get the amount back, which Government spent on stationery/printing.
The meeting was also attended by Working President MS Katoch, Inderjeet Khajuria, Narayan Singh, Gajan Singh Khajuria, ML Sharma, Avinash Bhatia, Prof BL Bhardwaj, RL Tandon, etc.
