JAMMU, Apr 25: Appreciating the success of massive Bandh observed on Friday all over Jammu Province against shifting of AIIMS which was meant for Jammu and shifted to Kashmir, Jammu Province People Forum (JPPF) appealed to all Jammuites to remain united for further struggle till its logic conclusion.
Addressing a meeting, the president, JPPF Judge Pavitar Singh Bhardwaj (Retired) said that it is an open secret that Kashmir centric Governments so far have never given have never Jammu its right straight away and it has always delivered only after struggles and agitations. Accusing the State Unit of BJP and BJP led NDA Government at Center for brazenly bartering Jammu’s legitimate interest for enjoying political games.
The bandh was only an indication for the Governments to reconsider the injustice done to Jammu. Continuing further Mr Bhardwaj reminded BJP of their commitments made during electioneering period and the sincerity of Jammuites in the shape of historical mandate was only to get rid of time old discrimination, disparity and political suppression by Kashmir centric Governments. But unfortunately the Jammu voters have been cheated and deceived as BJP has openly and strategically betrayed them and sold their mandate to remain in power.
The Jammuites will never forget and forgive the mischief played with them by BJP and definitely teach them lesson at proper time.
Referring to the announcement made by the Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley on the floor of Lok Sabha (Lower House), while presenting his second budget that Jammu would get AIIMS, he said that BJP has under hidden conspiracy surrendered AIIMS to Kashmir under Ram Madhav’s mission ‘break the jinx’ to remove the hurdles in the formation of north pole – south pole Coalition Government. Surprisingly, the same Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley suddenly took another turn and okayed the CMP of the BJP-PDP coalition, which ensures the AIIMS for Kashmir. This ugly turn and double speak of the Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, who belongs to BJP party is indigestible and beyond the understanding.
Reminding the Jammuites of the agitation, which they spearheaded for restoration of Center University in Jammu, which was similarly hijack to Kashmir by the Kashmir centric coalition Government, it was their united strength that brought back Center University at Jammu, which is functioning presently. It was a success, where a Jammu based person appointed as first Vice Chancellor as demanded by the Jammu people.
