JAMMU, June 27: Jammu Power Development Corporation Limited (JPDCL) disconnected several illegal connections in Electric Sub Division Bari Brahmana and imposed fine on defaulters.
A team of Electric Sub Division Bari Brahmana on the instructions of Executive Engineer Vijaypur Narotam Kumar conducted inspections in village Dasal Meen Charka. The team checked around 40 connections and illegal load of 25 KW was disconnected.
The violators were imposed a fine of Rs 65,000 to be incorporated in their electric bills. The inspection team advised the consumers to adhere the rules of the department and warned them not to resort to any unfair practice regarding power theft. They were asked to use only star rated appliances and not to use heaters, boilers and other illegal load.
The team was headed by AEE Rajeev Sharma and comprised of JEs Vinod, Ravi and Mushtaq, besides other field functionaries.
