JPDCL disconnects 33 illegal connections

JAMMU, July 6: In a drive against illegal hooking, Jammu Power Development Corporation Limited (JPDCL) today disconnected 33 illegal domestic connections in Sainik Colony and Channi Himmat Section.
The drive was conducted on the directions of Executive Engineer, Electric Division-II JPDCL Gandhi Nagar, Jammu by a team of officials of Electric Sub Division-I, Green Belt led by Assistant Executive Engineer with the assistance of Feeder Managers of Sainik Colony and Channi Himmat section as well as other field staff.
During the drive, 33 illegal domestic connections (jhuggis) were disconnected which were using the power by hooking that were causing overloading of the Sub/Station areas. Besides, 37 Air Conditioners connected illegally were also disconnected.
