Many children of Jammu may not have seen boat / Shikara, as their parents are not in position to take them to Srinagar, Naintal or Bhopal… A stretch of about a half a kilometer of canal from Head works where Ranbir canal is fabricated called Chotti Nahar & Main Canal to just short of Canal power House, about four boats can be plied to give joy ride to children . This will add attraction to the place by children who visit Children Garden maintained by JK Bank.
This will also provide job to about dozen of youth and provide joyride to hundreds of children at the expense of only Rs 2-3 lacs. This can be recovered from children who ride the boats.
It will be attraction for children with less resource and add tourist spot in Jammu. If this succeeds with your blessing, then the same can be repeated in other stretches of canal.
