Journalist released

Srinagar, Feb 23: Senior Journalist Majid Hyderi who was released from Kot Bhalwal Jail reached home this afternoon.

Hyderi was arrested in September, 2023 on charges of extortion and defamation. He was booked under the PSA and lodged in Kot Bhalwal Jail.

Earlier this week, the High Court quashed Hyderi's detention under the PSA and directed his release.
