Leh, June 16: Minister for Urban Development & Local Bodies, Nawang Rigzin Jora today inaugurated the new kindergarten block and computer lab of Islamia Public School (IPS), Leh constructed under Special Plan Assistance of Infrastructure Development of the School.
Pointing the evolving nature of education standard, Jora stressed upon the teachers to be knowledgable, experienced and hardworking and urged them to tackle students considering their psychology and adopting modern teaching techniques.
EC CAPD Mohd Shafi Lasu said that education is the strongest weapon in the world and appealed all the parents to pay attention towards quality education and strengthen the school by playing their vital role in educating their children.
President Monin-ul-Islam Shiek Saif-ud-Din also spoke on the occasion and urged upon the parents to give quality education and technical education to the students to enable them to contribute for the region and nation.
A scintillating cultural programme was also presented by the school students.
The Minister also inaugurated the showroom of Ladakh Motor Garages Pvt. Ltd., authorized dealer of TATA Motors at Choglamsar, Leh. EC CA&PD, Regional Manager, TATA Motors, Rajesh Kaul and other prominent citizens and customers were also present on the occasion.
