JMC seals six mobile towers erected illegally

JAMMU, Apr 27: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today sealed six illegal mobile towers in city and its outskirts.
The action was taken during a JMC drive against illegal mobile towers erected by BSNL and Reliance communications at various installations within JMC limits. The drive was conducted under the supervision of Secretary, JMC, Sunaina Mehta, to comply the orders of High Court in the WPPIL No 15/2017 titled Navyug Sethi v/s State of J&K and others.
Chief Enforcement Officer, Rajesh Gupta, Enforcement Officer, Kamini Kesar, Revenue Officers, Parmod Kumar, Ashwani Sudan, Sunil Gupta and enforcement staff of JMC was also part of the JMC team, which conducted the drive.
During the drive, six illegal mobile towers erected by BSNL and Reliance communications installed at Hotel Premier (Residency Road), Hotel Rajdhani (Sant Market, Jewel), Hotel Savoy near DPS School, Kingsway Banquet Hall (Dogra Chowk), Bhagwati Nagar and Chinore were disconnected and thereafter sealed by the JMC team.
