JAMMU, Dec 4: The Enforcement Wing of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today demolished an unauthorised commercial building at Gandhi Nagar here which was constructed against the approved plan.
A team of JMC Enforcement Wing raided the area and demolished the building. The raid was conducted by the JMC team after it received a complaint from the Gandhi Nagar Welfare Committee that an unauthorised building was being constructed in the area.
The Enforcement team also recovered Rs 6500 as fine and seized 15 kgs of polythene carry bags from Transport Nagar, Trikuta Nagar, Marble Market.
The demolition operation was carried by the team led Chief Enforcement Officer, JMC and SHO Police Station Gandhi Nagar, a JMC spokesman said.
He said the JMC has once again made an appeal to the general public of the city not to encroach upon space besides ensuring the construction of building as per approved building plan and norms.
