JAMMU, July 17: Continuing development in her Ward, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Gurmeet Kour Randhawa of Ward 69 today started up-gradation and blacktopping of roads in Sectors A and G of Sainik Colony.
A handout stated that residents of the area will heave a sigh of relief after the completion of blacktopping work and they hailed the Councillor Randhawa for initiating new developments in the Ward.
Speaking on the occasion the JMC Councillor assured the resident that remaining work of blacktopping of other roads will be done after the monsoon.
She assured to leave no stone unturned for the development of the Ward on modern lines.
“I am very much aware of the problems of the Ward and I have already approached the concerned authorities for solutions,” she maintained adding that soon other works of the Ward will also be taken up.
She informed that work of Rs 2.5 lakh for streetlights on either side of the main Nallah in Sainik Colony has been sanctioned by JMC and the work on it will start soon.
