JMC Councillor starts drain work

JAMMU, Apr 16: Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Amit Gupta here today started construction work of drains at Partab Market near Chand Kour Gurudwara in Ward 19 at the cost of Rs. 6 lakh.
A handout stated that drains of the area were in dilapidated condition since long and the locals there were facing lot of problems due to this.
Speaking on the occasion the JMC Councillor appealed general public to cooperate JMC in various developmental works in Jammu city.
He urged upon the residents of the Ward to avoid single use plastic and polythene in their routine work and refrain from throwing debris and garbage in drains.
The Councillor asked the people of his Ward to adopt habit of segregation of dry and wet garbage at their own level so that Jammu can be made neat, clean, green and beautiful city.
Pratab Market Association president, Dalbir Singh, Kulveer Singh and other were also present on the occasion.
