JKVDA-J deputation meets Animal Husbandry Minister

JAMMU, Apr 7: A deputation of J&K Veterinary Doctors’ Association, Jammu (JKVDA-J) today met Minister of Animal/Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Abdul Gani Kohli and apprised him of burning issues of Animal /Sheep Husbandry Department.
Major demands put forth by the body included allocation of sufficient and suitable land for shifting of Belicharana complex, a hub of all the activities of Jammu region Animal Husbandry Department, which has been necessitated for expansion of airport besides restoration of Block Veterinary Officers in Jammu region at par with their counterparts and strictly following seniority for promotion at all cadres.
The Minister assured full support to the body and said that all their demands will be thoroughly examined.
Executive body members of the association— Dr FA Kichloo, Dr PS Sudan, Dr Rajesh Arora and Dr Sushil Sharma, were part of the deputation.
