JAMMU, May 1: A deputation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC), under the leadership of UT President Vinod Sharma today called on Director School Education Jammu Ashok Kumar Sharma in his office chamber and raised various issues of the teaching fraternity, including one time exemption in enhanced higher qualification.
While interacting, Vinod Sharma highlighted the burning issue relating to the qualifications acquired by the teaching and non teaching staff of School Education during service and said that on ground teaching fraternity is in chaos and confusion due to variation in passing the order at grassroots level. He said that many of these have already been accorded permissions by DSEJ or CEOs and now they are confused whether to apply again or not.
The Director disclosed the deputation that only those who have acquired PG degree during service ( whether already having permission or not ) have to apply for one time exemption . He said that there is no need to submit the files other than PG degree.
Other demands raised by JKTJAC leadership included; conversion of RRETs to Teachers Grade II/ III, regularisation of ReTs who have completed five years ReT period , mutual transfer cases of RRETs , DPC of Teachers to Masters.
The Director assured to redress each and every issue raised by the JKTJAC representatives.
Later, the deputation also met with Personnel Officer Manisha in her office chamber an raised genuine issues of the teaching fraternity.
The deputation comprised of Rajesh Jamwal (Provincial President), Sham Sharma, Sukesh Khajuria, Khazana Singh, Lekh Raj Parihar, Ravinder Manhas, Bhoopinder Gupta, Surinder Singh, Manohar Choudhary, Vishal Sharma, Zakir Hussain and others.
