JAMMU, May 19: Jammu Kashmir Teachers Joint Action committee (JKTJAC) has demanded release of salary of RRETs /ReTs as well as regularisation of ReTs.
In a statement, JKTJAC president Vinod Sharma alleged that RRETs who haven’t been converted into Teachers Grade II / Teachers Grade III due to various reasons, are without salary for last 15 months and are on verge of starvation. He said that family members of these teachers are facing a lot of hardships to meet their both ends. Even unregularised ReTs are also without salary for last more than 6 months and suffering badly, he added and demanded the immediate release of the salary of these teachers so that they may be able to meet out their basic needs.
Vinod Sharma also appealed the Director School Education Jammu to regularise the pending ReTs whose files are lying in the directorate for last more than one year. He also urged the Department to release TA in favour of all teaching staff as they are engaged in various tasks even during prevailing lock down due to Covid-19.
