JKTJAC demands release of Mid Day Meal dues

UDHAMPUR, Feb 4: Monthly meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) was held under the leadership of UT president Vinod Sharma and district president Udhampur Lekh Raj Parihar , here today.
While speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma demanded immediate release of more than one year dues of Mid Day Meals which the teachers have managed from their own pockets in schools. He said that they have been raising this issue through media for a long time but nothing has been done to resolve this issue except release of 3 to 4 months dues and still there is liability for the year 2022-23 and 2023-24.
“Teachers are facing lots of problems to manage the Mid Day Meals from their own pockets and they will be forced to stop the same If their dues are not released immediately and for this concerned authorities will be responsible, if the poor students suffer,” he said.
Vinod Sharma also raised various other genuine and burning issues of the teaching fraternity and appealed the authorities to resolve the same amicably for the welfare of thousands of teachers of the UT.
He demanded comprehensive transfer policy in favour of teachers appointed under ReT scheme, conversion of Head teachers posts into non plan posts of Masters, clear cut directions from administrative department regarding providing permission to Teachers and Masters to enhance their qualifications and consideration of already accorded permissions by DSEJ/CEOs .
He also demanded issuance of regularisation orders of ReTs who have completed 5 years service period, raising Grade of Teachers at par with their counter parts in other UTs, filling up of vacant posts of ZEOs, issuance of DPC list of Teachers to Master, settlement of GP Fund ( Refundable and non refundable ) cases, etc.
Speaking on the occasion, Lekh Raj Parihar demanded the release of more than two years arrears ( time barred) of Teachers and Masters as they are suffering badly.
Sham Sharma, Ashok Seth, Ravinder Singh Rathore, Bhushan Khajuria, Shamsher Singh, Jagdish Chander Sharma, Suresh Sharma, Sandeep and others also spoke on the occasion.
