JAMMU, May 29: Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) has expressed strong resentment against the callous and biased attitude of CEO Doda for suspending a teacher on absurd ground and demanded his reinstatement.
In a press release issued today, JKTJAC UT president Vinod Sharma alleged that one teacher namely Ajay Rana of Government Higher Secondary School Chill distributed ration to 120 deserving and poor families of Panchayat Chill, Teshil Assar in District Doda on May 15 and also uploaded a video of the same on his Facebook account the same day.
“Later, the teacher was suspended on May 20 by CEO Doda which is highly condemnable,” Sharma said, questioning whether it was the reward to the teacher for helping needy people during COVID-19. He said instead of appreciating such noble move of the teacher he was punished by CEO Doda.
He said that the teacher in the uploaded video had demanded the immediate attention of the Food and Supply Department towards the suffering of the poor families who were deprived of BPL Ration Cards and demanded the action against the undeserving ones who managed to get the same (BPL Ration Cards) and what wrong was with it?
Sharma said that suspending the teacher without conducting the enquiry is unjustified action of CEO Doda and JKTJAC demands immediate revocation of his suspension order. He also appealed the Commissioner Secretary Food and Civil Supply to conduct the enquiry into the allegations leveled by the teacher for the biased and unjustified approach of the department to issue BPL ration cards in that area.
