JKTF projects issues of teaching community

UDHAMPUR, Jan 29: The Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF), Udhampur unit  has projected the issues of teaching community of the region.
In a meeting of the Forum held under the chairmanship of Surinder Sharma, district president the members described the decision of Education Minister Altaf Bukhari and  Director School Education Ravinder Singh as step in the right direction for the adjustment of left over masters pending for the last four years.
The Forum urged upon the higher authorities to fill up all the vacant posts of headmasters, ZEOs and Principals as early as possible because the institutions are suffering badly. The Forum pointed out that DSE Kashmir has recently issued order regarding placement of masters as I/C Headmasters in which masters up to 25-03-2005 are placed as I/C Headmasters but about 100-150 masters of Jammu division who have been promoted as masters during 2004 are still waiting for their promotions.
They also demanded timely  release of salary of RRTs/ Teachers / Masters working under SSA, pending for the last three months,  necessary instructions may be issued to the DDOs for issuance of G.P fund statements in favour of the concerning incumbents and training programme schedule for teachers be avoided during January to March and must be scheduled during vacation period only.
