KATHUA, Jan 11: The Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum has constituted its Kathua unit and elected the office bearers.
The unit was constituted during a meeting held, here today under the chairmanship of Ganesh Khajuria, State general secretary of the Forum and attended by more than 500 teachers of all the zones of Kathua district.
Subhash Sharma was elected as district president and Parveen Singh as gen secretary of the Kathua unit. In addition to this, some members were elevated for provincial body of Jammu province. They included Amarnath Thakur (Sr vice president) and Yuv Raj Singh Pathania (provincial secretary).
In the meeting, Ganesh Khajuria called upon all the teachers of district Kathua to get united and extend support to the Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum to get all the problems solved.
Those who attended the meeting, included Satish Dutta, Surjeet Singh, Gopal Singh, Surat Singh Toofani, Darshan Sharma, Roop Lal, Ravinder Singh, Rahul Sambyal, Vijay Sharma and others.
