UDHAMPUR, June 22: A meeting of the Jammu and Kashmir Teacher Forum (JKTF) was held wherein teachers of zone Jib and district body members along with zonal presidents of the district participated.
In the meeting the election of zone Jib was conducted under the supervision of Surinder Sharma. The members unanimously elected Vijay Kumar as president, Girdhari Lal as general secretary, Sansar Singh as senior vice president, Rakesh Jandial, Sansar Chand, Sandeep Gupta and Madan Gopal as vice presidents, Sat Paul Gupta as chief orgainser, Kuldeep Kumar as general secretary, Romesh Chander as organizer, Ram Saroop as cashier, Bushan Kumar and Romesh Kumar as joint secretary and Devi Dass as publicity secretary.
Speaking on the occasion, the speakers criticized some DDOs who don’t bother for completion of service book of teachers, release of salary on 2nd of every month, writing off of dead stock articles etc.
The speakers strongly condemned the pick and choose transfer policy and threatened agitation if this practice will continue. Special stress was laid on the unity of the community and members of the forum advised to work for the welfare of the needy teachers.
Those who spoke on the occasion were Kewal Krishan, Ram Parshad, Rajesh Sharma, Satvir Choudhary, Chaman Lal, Ravinder Tripathi, Ravi Padha, Sat Paul, Gulsher Ahmed, Rajesh Balwal, Rakesh Balwal, Pawan Kumar, Shiv Dev Singh, Rattan Singh, Nazir Ahmed and Ajay Sharma.
