JAMMU, July 23: A delegation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum, Jammu, led by general secretary Ganesh Khajuria, called on Khursheed Ahmed Ganai, Advisor to the Government, here today, and submitted him a memorandum of demands.
The Forum explained that Masters and Teachers working under RMSA and SSA schemes were not getting their salaries and benefits of 7th Pay commission. The Advisor was apprised that the Teachers appointed by SSRB and promoted as Masters through DPC under Plan and Non-Plan schemes were also being denied of their salaries and benefits of the 7th Pay Commission.
The Forum also demanded removal of pay anomalies in Master Grade, DPC of Teachers, Masters and Lecturers, revival of Senior Teacher Grade for Undergraduate teachers, regularization of all cadres, DPC of Lab Assistants and Class-IV employees of Education Department from District Reasi, simplification of the procedure for release of the salaries of surplus Masters by authorizing the concerned DDA to draw their salaries, establishment of the Teacher Welfare fund and extending the Mediclaim Policy to all the cadres of Teaching community.
The Advisor assured the delegation that he would personally look into the matter to resolve all the issues for the betterment of the employees of Education Department. He also stressed upon the teaching community to work for achieving the academic excellence for the betterment of the student of the State run schools.
The JKTF delegation comprised of Soorat Singh Toofani, Rajinder Gupta, Ravinder Gupta, Darshan Sharma, Rajinder Singh, Kuldeep Bandral, Shankar Singh, Sushil Sharma, Sham Badyal, Ravi Verma, Gopal Singh, Jamat Ali Agha, Vikas Sharma, Sudershan Singh, Ghulam Abbas and Mahesh Kumar.
