JAMMU, May 14: The provincial body of J&K Technical Employees Federation (JKTEF), Power Development Department (PDD) today highlighted its demands in a meeting held here under the chairmanship of its president, Hardarshan Singh.
The speakers discussed various demands of the Federation which include implementation of SRO 149, removal of stagnation for last 20 years, fixation of seniority, service rules for technicians, risk allowance for all employees of PDD and regularization of daily wagers/need based workers.
During the meeting, all the office bearers, committee members and delegates of JKTEF unanimously decided to launch a chain strike in Jammu province if the Government did not consider their genuine demands.
Meanwhile, all the office bearers strongly condemned the police action on peacefully protesting JKTEF members at Srinagar and warned the Government against this callous attitude.
