JKTA holds virtual meeting, projects issues

JAMMU, Aug 31: A virtual meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Association (JKTA) was held under the chairmanship of its UT President Bhupinder Singh.
In the meeting, a large number of participants were present from across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
While speaking, Bhupinder Singh raised the issues of left out RReTs, who were not converted to Teachers Grade II/III as a result their families are suffering badly. He also sought implementation of transfer policy in favour of Grade II/III, restoration of old pension scheme in favour of Teachers Grade II/III who were engaged before January 1, 2010 as ReTs, implementation of 7th Pay Commission benefits in favour of Teachers Grade II/III from 2016 and inclusion of initial five years service for seniority benefits.
Singh also raised the issue of Conversion of Head Teachers (SSA) posts to Non Plan Master Posts so that salary issue of Head Teachers will be resolved once for all. He also demanded DPC of Teachers to Masters which has not been held since February 2014.
Bhupinder Singh urged Lieutenant Governor, Principal Secretary School Education and Director School Education Jammu to resolve the issues of the teachers so that they may not suffer any more.
