JKTA demands restoration of Old Pension Scheme

UDHAMPUR, Feb 11: The Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Association (JKTA) convened a meeting at Udhampur under the guidance of its UT President, Bhupinder Singh for holding discussions over key issues and fostering a sense of unity among the teaching community.
During the meeting, the participants demanded restoration of the Old Pension Scheme, parity in UT grades comparable to other Union Territories, formulation of a transfer policy for teachers appointed under ReT Scheme, etc. The meet appealed the LG Administration to resolve these perennial and non perennial demands.
