JAMMU, Jan 2: A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Association (JKTA) led by Shah Fayaz its chairman called on to Commissioner Secretary Education, Sarita Chouhan and discussed various issues of teachers with her.
The delegation discussed the pending issues of grade two and grade three teachers thoroughly with her. The other members of delegation included general secretary of the Association, Hatim Qayoom, Ghulam Hassan Wantoo, Farooq Ahmad Thoker, Mushtaq Ahmed (SBM).
Shah Fayaz apprised the Commissioner Secretary about the long pending issues of grade two and grade three teachers. Especially the issue of in -situ time bound promotions, clear cut transfer policy for grade two and grade three teachers, transition of pending overlapping cases into grade two, pending cases of EV regularised RETs into grade three, cases of gender co-ordinators, filling of vacant posts of CEOs and ZEOs and other genuine issues were also highlighted by the delegation.
The Commissioner Secretary Education assured the delegation that all these issues will be solved on top priority basis and department is working on war footing basis to resolve the issues.
The delegation hoped that Government will take immediate and necessary steps to solve the difficulties and problems faced by the teachers’ community.
