JKTA calls for restoration of old pension scheme

JAMMU, July 6: Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Association (JKTA) has organized a district level meeting of teachers in the twin districts of Reasi and Kathua.
Both the meetings were addressed by Bhupinder Singh, president JKTA. The Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Association focused on the quality of educational improvement and raised the genuine issues of the teacher’s community of the Union Territory in general and prospective districts in particular.
JKTA President, Bhupinder Singh highlighted the perennial and non perennial demands of the teaching community which include restoration of the old pension scheme, transfer policy in favour of teachers appointed under Rehbar-e-Taleem scheme.
They demanded resolution of the issues of post facto cases which are lying pending in CEO offices, Directorate of school education office, vigilance clearance of teachers. The JKTA highlighted the issues of zone Chasana including filling of vacant post of ZEO, change of teachers from ZEO office Chasana and release of pending salary of Rehbar e Taleem teachers of zone Chasana.
The president also focused on creation of the state of art infrastructure compatible with the New Education Policy 2023. The meeting at Billawar was organized by District President, Kathua JKTA, Sunil Bhardwaj and attended by Union Territory Patron Kuldeep Katoch, coordinator Sunil Salaria, Satyapal, Mohd Salim, Ramesh Chander, Ramesh Kumar and others.
Moreover, JKTA held a meeting at Sungari Reasi which was organized by District President Reasi JKTA Sajad Malik and attended by a large number of teachers. Provincial legal advisor Kapoor Sharma, provincial special advisor Randeep Singh, District chairman Udhampur Surjit Singh, District Vice President Reasi Angrez Singh, Spokesperson Tasveer Singh, District Secretary Gulam Mohi din, newly elected Zonal President Zone Chasana Babaal Sharma, vice president Mohd Arshad and General Secretary Meain Ajaz Ahmed also attended the meeting.
