JKSEECC urges Govt to take early decision on reservation in promotions

JAMMU, July 1: Jammu Kashmir School Education Employees Co-ordination Committee (JKSEECC) and Jammu Kashmir Ladakh UTs +2 Incharge Lecturers Co ordination Committee held a virtual meeting to discuss the regularization issue of all incharge officers and lecturers of JK and Ladakh UTs.
Participants in the virtual meeting also appealed Lt Governor G C Murmu and Chief secretary BVR Subrahmanyam to take decision on reservation in promotions to reserve category employees on priority. “As the matter is subjudice in highest court of the country and the Supreme Court also has in a judgement directed that it is the responsibilty of State and UT Government to decide the issue of reservation in promotions, JKUT administration should takes early decision and it would be in the interest of administration as well as the employees,” they explained.
Amar Nath Thakur chairman JKSEECC and president I/C Lecturers of JKL UTs, said that in Jammu division more than 300 posts of Headmasters are kept reserved for different category masters and these posts are not filled as a result all 300 high schools are headless and it is effecting badly the academic as well administrative smooth functioning of the department also. “Same is the case with other cadres in Education Department and other departments as well. This matter must be decided once for all at the earliest, so that department as well employees may not suffer further,” he added.
Those who participated in virtual meeting, included Ravesh Saraf, Showket Wani, Rajesh Gorkha, Liyaket Ali, Mir Manzoor, Tara Mani, Prem ji, and others.
