JKSEECC, JKGTF discuss appointment of JKBOSE’s chairman

JAMMU, May 4: School Education Employees Coordination Committee (JKSEECC) and Jammu Kashmir Government Teachers Forum (JKGTF) today discussed the demand of appointment of JKBOSE chairman with all District body members, representatives of CEOs, Principals Forum, ZEOs and Plus2 Lecturers.
The meeting was conducted through telephonically by Amar Nath Thakur, chairman of the Coordination Committee. All the representatives have strongly favoured that the upcoming chairman of JKBOSE should be appointed amongst the senior most joint directors.
Ram Parkesh Sharma, president Plus2 Principals Forum said that JK BOSE was a sister organisation of the School Education Department and all functions of the Board were performed by Plus2 cadre officers such as conducting of examination, marking, preparing syllabus and supervision during the examination then why chairman is appointed from outside the department.
“Appointment of the chairman from outside is unjustified, illogical and unacceptable to the teaching fraternity. We have been demanding the same since long but under political influence our voice was not heard,” they alleged.
On behalf of the teaching fraternity, he (Thakur) appealed the Lieutenant Governor and KK Sharma Advisor to LG to consider the just and genuine demand of all cadres and appoint the chairman JKBOSE amongst the senior most joint directors.
They also demanded the Principal Secretary, AH Samoon to convene regularization committee meeting as chairman of the regularization committee and issue regularization orders of all in-charge gazetted cadres.
