J&K’s Corona cases cross one lakh

4 more deaths in Jammu, 6 in Kashmir
One casualty, 71 new cases in Ladakh

JAMMU/Srinagar, Nov 11: The COVID tally in Jammu and Kashmir today crossed one lakh as 10 persons died of the virus and 507 more tested positive while 433 recovered. The Union Territory of Ladakh also reported one Corona fatality and 71 cases.
With 507 Corona cases today including 326 in Kashmir division and 181 in Jammu region, the tally of cases in Jammu and Kashmir today crossed one lakh and stood at 1,00,351 including 60502 in Kashmir and 39849 in Jammu.
There were 5480 active cases across the Union Territory-3879 in Kashmir and 1601 in Jammu while 93313 persons have recovered from the virus—55589 in the Valley and 37724 in Jammu. There have been 1558 casualties in J&K including 1034 in Kashmir and 524 in Jammu.
Among four casualties in Jammu region, two were women.
A 75-year-old woman from Krishna Nagar and 85-year-old from Lakkar Mandi Janipura died of Coronavirus in Jammu district today. While the Krishna Nagar woman died at home, the other breathed her last at ASCOMS Sidhra.
A 67-year old man from Housing Colony Phase-2 in Udhampur district died of COVID-19 in the District Hospital Udhampur while 75-year-old COVID positive man from Parsula Doda died in the GMC Jammu.
Six persons, who died of Coronavirus in Kashmir today, include a 67-year-old man from Alamgari Bazar Hawal who was admitted to SMHS hospital with bilateral community acquired pneumonia on October 24. He died this morning.
A 60-year-old man from Lakhriyarbal Nawa Kadal also died at SMHS hospital, four days after he was admitted to the hospital with bilateral CAP.
A 58-year-old man from Safa Kadal Srinagar died at SKIMS Soura. He was admitted on October 17 and died this afternoon.
Among 181 Corona positive cases in Jammu, the maximum 94 were reported from Jammu district followed by 20 Udhampur, 19 Kishtwar, 13 Doda, 12 Kathua, eight Rajouri, five Ramban, four Reasi and three each in Poonch and Samba districts.
Of 103 persons who recovered from the virus in Jammu region, 39 hailed from Kishtwar district, 29 Jammu, nine Udhampur, seven each Doda and Kathua, five each Rajouri and Poonch and two in Ramban district. Samba and Reasi districts didn’t report any recoveries today.
With four deaths today, Jammu region’s Corona toll has gone up to 524 with highest 273 fatalities reported from Jammu district, 49 Doda, 48 Rajouri, 33 each Udhampur and Kathua, 25 Samba, 22 Poonch, 18 Ramban, 15 Kishtwar and eight in Reasi district.
Srinagar district with 385 deaths topped the list of Corona victims in Kashmir followed by Baramulla 153, Budgam 94, Pulwama 84, Kupwara 76, Anantnag 76, Kulgam 48, Bandipora 48, Shopian 35 and Ganderbal 35
Those who tested positive today include 140 from Srinagar, 40 Baramulla, 31 Budgam, 11 Pulwama, 32 Kupwara, 14 Anantnag, eight Bandipora, 44 Ganderbal, four Kulgam and two from Shopian.
As per officials figures, 20,845 positive cases including 385 deaths and 19,036 recoveries are from Srinagar, 6,594 including 153 deaths and 5,689 recoveries are from Baramulla, 6,345 including 5,943 recoveries and 95 deaths are from Budgam, 4,804 including 4,588 recoveries and 84 deaths are from Pulwama, 4,734 including 76 deaths and 4,215 recoveries are from Kupwara, 4,359 including 4,094 recoveries and 75 deaths are from Anantnag, 4,175 cases including 3,970 and 48 deaths are from Bandipora, 3,847 including 3,512 recoveries and 35 deaths are from Ganderbal, 2,533 including 2,400 recoveries and 48 deaths are from Kulgam and 2,266 including 2,142 recoveries and 35 deaths are from Shopian.
Meanwhile, the Union Territory of Ladakh today reported one Corona casualty and 71 new cases.
A 54-year-old woman from Pipting in Zanskar area of Kargil district died of COVID-19 today taking death count in the UT to 86 including 46 in Leh and 40 in Kargil.
Ladakh reported 71 new cases—63 in Leh and eight in Kargil taking UT’s Corona tally to 7134 including 930 active positives while 6118 persons have recovered from the virus.
