SRINAGAR, Apr 7: A meeting of Jammu Kashmir Rehabar-e -Taleem Teachers Forum (JKRETTF) was held here today under the chairmanship of Forum chairman FA Tantary to discuss unnecessary delay in the conversion of ReT teachers into Teacher Grade II.
The meet observed that despite of assurances from the State administration, there was slow pace of work in both the Directorate offices of Education Department regarding the conversion of RET teachers into teacher Grade II with the result that thousands of teachers are without salaries and have been waiting for the orders of TG2.
Forum members appealed the Governor’s administration to interfere into the matter and solve the issues of RET teachers once for all so they can give their best in their class rooms.
Forum chairman said that teachers are with out salaries and for the conversion process into Teacher Grade II, un-necessary hurdles were being created by the committees on the name of screening of documents. These documents were checked many times in past as well and the newly formed committees are creating hurdles and un-necessarily consuming time due these delay tactics, he added.
Forum leaders appealed the Governor’s administration to give the final touch to the conversion process of Teacher Grade II so the teachers not suffer more for their pending salaries and for their other rights.
Forum members also appealed for the release of already announced one month extra salary of the employees who were engaged on poll duty in recent Municipal and in Panchayat elections before the Lok Sabha elections so they can perform their duties in better way and can’t feel cheated, the press release reads.
The meeting was attended by Bashir Ahmed Dar, Zoohar-u-din Beg, Javeed Gul, Ab Qayoom Khan, Sheikh Parvaiz, Tahseen Ahmed and others.
