JKRCEA threatens agitation, resents DC Kathua’s action

JAMMU, May 22: The Jammu & Kashmir Reserved Categories Empowerment Alliance (JKRCEA) has threatened to launch mass agitation if the Administration tried to stop construction of Guru Nabha Dass Ji  temple at Kathua.
Addressing a joint press conference senior members of the Alliance F C Bhagat, Sham Lal Basson, Bodh Raj Bhagat, Prof GL Thappa and others took serious note of the DC Kathua’s remarks and his action and said that this social-religious wing of the Dalit Chetna Manch, Bhagat Mahasabha, All India Balmiki Sabha and other groups have decided to launch united agitation. They alleged that District Administration have stopped the work of  Guru Nabha Dass ji temple and the action of District Administration was highly condemnable.
They alleged that Deputy Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria tried to help one person, who is running school there and has eye on temple land. They claimed most of the religious places  in the country are raised on State lands. This land was also under the occupation of temple committee since long  and now when they started construction of big temple, the District Administration  has  stopped the construction work.
They further alleged that such anti-SC/ST/OBC stance of bureaucrats have put these marginalised sections of society in a state of illusion when on one side their personal and religious assets are targeted and other side the provision of reservation in promotions has been finished. They appealed to the Chief Minister to intervene into the matter.
Prof Kali Dass, representing All India Backward Classes Union also spoke on the occasion and said that reserved category people will launch decisive agitation for this issue. He warned the Administration not to interference in the religious matters of the people.
