JKPSA to protest on Dec 24 if orders by FFRC not withdrawn

JAMMU, Dec 16: J&K Private Schools Association (JKPSA) here today held a meeting chaired by Kamal Gupta, JKPSA president.
Speaking in the meeting Ajay Gupta, Association general secretary quoted orders issued by Fee Fixation & Regulation Committee (FFRC) for private schools and resolution of 50 per cent fee reduction passed by
JMC and said that there is exploitation of private schools owners due to number of bottlenecks and delay in reopening of the schools for physical classes in J&K.
Other speakers said that online mode of education has become a profit generating source of big IT companies and claimed that students are worst sufferer as online education cannot evolve a concept of team spirit, co-operation and work culture among them.
Kamal Gupta demanded immediate withdrawal of all orders issued by FFRC on hit and trial policy for private schools.
He also appealed to the Lieutenant Governor of J&K UT to constitute a monitoring cell to check the discrepancies which FFRC is regularly committing while fixing fee by private schools of J&K.
The meeting resolved that if Government will not mitigate the problems of private schools of J&K then designated members of JKPSA will hold a protest on December 24, 2021.
Rameshwar Mengi, JKPSA vice president; Ram Parkash Sharma, Sat Pal Sharma, Ashwani Khajuria, Lal Chand Gandotra, Kulwinder Singh, Ajay Singh, Sanjeev Luthra, Tariq Bali, Vineet Gupta, Laddi Kumar, Jatinder Heera, Naresh Kumar, Gourav Charak and others were also present in the meeting.
