JAMMU, Dec 1: Jammu and Kashmir Political Migrants Front (JKPMF) in a meeting at Srinagar today held under the leadership of Sheikh Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Shabnam highlighted the problems of political migrants in the State.
The meeting, while expressing satisfaction over the steps taken by Union and State Governments to redress the problems of migrants demanded enhancement of cash relief to Rs 15,000 per family per month.
It welcomed the initiative regarding construction of quarters for rehabilitation of migrants at district headquarters in Kashmir Valley.
The meeting expressed grave concern over the power crisis in the Hotel Snow Peak in Raj Bagh Srinagar where the political migrant families are putting up and demanded immediate restoration of power to the building.
The meeting among others was attended by Nanak Singh Bedi Ghulam Nabi Bhat, A K Bhat and Bal Krishan Bhat.
