SRINAGAR, Sept 9: The Jammu and Kashmir Power Employees Coordination Committee has decided to hold a protest and wear black badges on Wednesday to protest against the process of unbundling.
The spokesperson of the committee said that they would hold a protest in the premises of the PDD complex located at Jahangir Chowk here. He added that similar protests would be held at the office of Chief Engineer M&RE Canal Road in Jammu. “The protest would be held against centre’s move to unbundle the Power Development Department”, he said.
He further said that the decision was taken in a meeting that was held in the premises of PDD Complex at Jahangir Chowk here. “The threadbare discussion was held among the members of committee and took a strong notice that although the Government was informed regarding the demand of the employees for the cancellation of tenders nothing has happened,” he said, adding that Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Department has issued tenders regarding the process of unbundling on the behest of Central Government.
