JKPCC employee among two arrested with 60 bags of Govt cement

DODA, Nov 24: Police arrested two persons including a daily wager of Jammu and Kashmir Projects Construction Corporation (JKPCC) along with 60 bags of Government cement.
As per police sources, on specific information about misappropriation of Government cement by employee of JKPCC, a team from Doda Police Station laid a naka at Bharat Nallah and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK06-7506 loaded with cement bags.
During questioning, the driver failed to give satisfactory reply and was taken into custody along with his associate.
Police seized 60 bags of Government cement from the vehicle, which was issued by JKPCC and its employees misappropriated it by means of criminal breach of trust thereby causing loss to the State exchequer.
The arrested persons have been identified as Rayees Ahmed (driver), son of Shabir Ahmed of Koti and Zafrullah Shah (daily wager employee of JKPCC), son of Raza Mohammad Shah of Udyanpur, district Doda.
A case under FIR Number 245/17 under Sections 406 and 409 RPC has been registered at Police Station Doda and further investigation is going on.
Police team led by SHO Doda Inspector Raghubir Singh made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Doda Iftkhar Ahmed and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
