JKPCC convention in Kathua: Cong leaders assure special role to youth

KATHUA, Oct 8: Carrying on the process of meeting aggrieved people, particularly the youth and listening to their problem, J&K Congress organized a one-day convention, here today.

Addressing the convention, PCC President Vikar Rasool Wani said that Congress party will make role of the youth more vibrant in order to nurture them for taking the future challenges of the country.
Asking the youth to make strenuous efforts to strengthen the party at the grass root level, he said the youth will be assigned special role in the coming elections and they will get their due share. He asked the youth to popularize the programmes and policies of the party among the people, especially among youth.
Charging the BJP Government with failure on all fronts, Congress leader said that unemployment was growing like never before while backbone of the common people was broken due to sky rocketing prices of essential commodities. “There is anger among people against BJP. We have taken to the streets against governance deficit, lack of development and failure of the Government to deliver on the promises made to the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” Wani said and exhorted the people to seize the opportunity of upcoming Assembly elections and give their verdict against BJP misrule through vote and support to Congress.
Speaking on the occasion, PCC Working President Raman Bhalla said that high inflation, unemployment, misgovernance and communal polarization have been hallmarks of the eight years of BJP Government.
“The BJP’s promise of “Achche Din” or good days was meant only for themselves or a select group of crony capitalists and industrialists whose wealth has increased manifold,” he alleged, adding that vote for Congress will be a vote for stability, peace and prosperity of country and Jammu and Kashmir in particular.
AICC Joint Secretary and incharge J&K, Manoj Yadav, who also addressed the convention, urged the people to join Congress Party in the fight against the Centre’s anti people policies, misrule and mismanagement, which were responsible for pushing people to the wall. He said that Congress party would vigorously fight against the wrong policies of the BJP Govt to ensure justice to common people, who have been badly affected due to the mismanagement and misrule on the part of Modi-led Central Govt.
JKPCC senior leader Th Manmohan Singh and District President Pankaj Dogra, who had organized the convention, also addressed on the occasion.
Pawan Raina, Pranav Shagotra, Shahnawaz Choudhary, Narinder Gupta, Hassan Ali Waffa, Suresh Dogra, Ajaz Choudhary and others attended the convention.
