JKPCC chief asks cadre to come out for help of stranded labourers

JAMMU, May 4: JKPCC president Ghulam Ahmed Mir has written to all senior leaders and issued an open appeal to the party cadre in Jammu and Kashmir to come out in support of the most pious task of helping the work force, who are builders of the nation but feel neglected and highly distressed in the given situation, for which the Congress party has come forward to render all possible help to them, who wish to return home.
Responding to the renewed call of Congress president, Sonia Gandhi for providing assistance for transportation to the stranded labourers, as the Centre Govt and Indian Railways besides various State Governments have adopted unsympathetic attitude towards the already distressed work force, JKPCC has requested the Congress cadres including all former ministers, MPs, legislators and functionaries and leaders of the party and different wings as well all well wishers and sympathizers of the party to come forward to contribute and help the distressed sections of the society, who are receiving end in the prevailing situation of lockdown due to Covid-19 crisis.
Mir expressed appreciation for all those who came forward, responding to the earlier appeal of Congress president, to provide relief and ration to the stranded people and migrant labourers and others needy. Our cadres are engaged in reaching out to the most deserving and needy, in this situation. He hoped that party cadres would force everything possible for rendering assistance to them, as announced by the Congress high command, Mir added.
