JKPC announces exam dates, orders 30% reduction in syllabus

Srinagar, Dec 9: J&K Paramedical Council (JKPC) has preponed the submission of the examination forms for various upcoming paramedical as well as nursing exams even as the reduction in the syllabus has also been announced.
The early dates have been issued due to the harsh weather conditions particularly in Kashmir and Ladakh Divisions and the new dates have been set as December 15.
A notification that has been issued by the JKPC, reads: “It is hereby notified that the last date for submission of various Paramedical / Nursing Examination forms which has been fixed as 20th December 2021, is hereby preponed and shall now be as 15th of December 2021. It is according enjoined upon all the stakeholders, in general, to submit the examination Forms by or before 15th of December 2021.”
The Council also said that it has been also decided that there will be only short Answer type questions with a relaxation of 30% Syllabus(Attempt any 70% Marks of the allotted Slot).
“The short answer type questions shall be from each Section/chapter and there will be an open choice for the candidates in attempting the question Paper with no restriction in attempting the question from any particular portion/Section,” it said.
The JKPC said that the examination shall be conducted in a phased manner from 28th December 2021 tentatively, initially in respect of General Nursing & Midwifery- 4th Year, followed by other Paramedical Courses like Medical Assistant, Lab- Assistant, X-Ray- Assistant ECG – Assistants, Dialysis Assistants, Dental Assistants, etc. followed by other Paramedical and Nursing Streams like FMPHW / MMPHW, General Nursing, Operation Theatre Assistant, Anesthesia Assistant, Ophthalmic Assistant etc.
