JAMMU, May 5: J&K Pensioners Association (JKPA) has urged upon the Government for the enhancement of Medical Allowance of pensioners from Rs. 300 to Rs. 1000.
In a handout, JKPA president, Krishan Singh said the pensioners of J&K have been requesting to the Union Government since long that the Medical Allowance of the pensioners should be increased to Rs. 1000 but no positive response was there.
He said that the hiked Medical Allowance is being paid to the pensioners of Ladakh and other Union Territories.
Singh also demanded the release of 2 per cent DA installment from January 2026 for the employees and pensioners of J&K.
He further demanded that the minimum wages and honorarium of Anganwari workers, helpers, Numberdars and remuneration of village guards should also be enhanced.
